In their first match of the day, Corning faced off against Herkimer and emerged victorious in three hard-fought sets. The Red Barons' service game proved formidable, as they racked up a total of 16 service aces. Ruth Smith was instrumental in this aspect, contributing 5 aces and 17 assists. At the net, Lindsay Stratton and Maggie McClaren made their presence felt with 7 and 6 kills, respectively, and added 1 and 2 solo blocks. Defensively, Rai Fuller and Peyton Peters led the charge with 10 and 9 digs, ensuring Herkimer had a tough time finding openings.
In their second match, the Red Barons continued their winning streak against Mohawk Valley, once again securing a victory in three sets.
