Kucko Promoted; Named Volleyball Head Coach

Jared Kucko has been a member of the Red Baron family since 2019, serving as an assistant coach for the volleyball team for two years before being hired as the Head Coach of the Red Barons volleyball program at the beginning of the 2021 season.

Coach Kucko was a volunteer coach at Horseheads High School and an active participant in their volleyball camps since 2017.

Kucko is a 2013 graduate of Horseheads High School where he participated in men's volleyball and bowling for the Blue Raiders. Jared enjoyed a four year playing career at Keuka College where he amassed 264 career kills for the Wolves which is 10th all-time in the programs history.

Jared was also on the Student Athletic Advisory Council at Keuka College as the men's volleyball team representative.

Coach Kucko had this to say about his recent hiring. "I'd like to thank all of my former players, coaches, teammates, family and SUNY CCC for providing me with this tremendous opportunity."

SUNY CCC Red Barons Athletic Director, Isaac Bushey, released the following statement about the hiring of Kucko.

"Jared is a bright young coach with college playing experience at Keuka College and coaching experience within our program which is what made this an easy decision to promote him. Coach Kucko has a lot of local recruiting connections and is already acquainted with our returning players which will help make this a smooth transition. The Red Barons Athletic Department looks forward to watching him grow the program and put his own spin on it."
