Emily Andress Resigns From Volleyball Head Coaching Position

Emily Andress has resigned from her head coaching duties for the Red Barons after 7 seasons with the women's volleyball team. Emily was a former student-athlete for SUNY CCC in both volleyball and softball in 2006 and 2007, she returned to Red Barons as an assistant coach in 2011 after graduating and was hired as the head coach in 2013.

Coach Andress acumulated a 124-77 record for SUNY CCC while coaching 1 NJCAA DIII Volleyball All-American, 11 NJCAA Region III All-Region players, 14 Mid-State Athletic Conference players, and 1 Mid-State Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Emily's programs were always successful on the court, making the regional tournament 4 times and winning the conference title in 2015. Andress was also recognized by her peers as she was named the Mid-State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2015 and she was also named Coach of the Year in Region III in 2015.

Director of Athletics released the following statement in regards to Andress' resignation:

"Emily has done an outstanding job coaching our volleyball team for a number of years, her success on the court speaks for itself, but the work she did behind the scenes with her players and other student-athletes is what we will remember the most.
