Volleyball Drops Home Opener

The Red Barons opened their season last night at home against Broome CC with a loss. Falling behind in the first set, the Barons woke back up making the following sets competitive with scores of 15-25, 20-25, and 25-27.

Defensively, sophomore Megan Gridley led the way with 25 digs and freshman Alecia McKillip added 13 digs on the night. Sophomore middle hitter, Katelyn Artibee helped herself to 4 blocks at the net while also leading the offense with 9 kills.

Corning heads to Watertown for the Jefferson Invitation this weekend where they will play Finger Lakes CC, Mohawk Valley CC, and Jefferson CC. The next home game will be Wednesday September 5th @ 6pm versus Tompkins Cortland CC.
