Sophomore Recognition Night Ignites 5 Set Thriller

On Wednesday, October 3rd, Corning held a sophomore recognition night where they honored six student-athletes: Suyen Lau, Cady Hill, Riley Sargent, Abby Miller, Hannah Wood, and Hannah Weimer.

After the recognition SUNY CCC played host to Onondaga Community College for an exciting final home match. With their first 5-set match of the season, the Red Barons took the first 2 in a thrilling fashion. They continued to fight throughout the evening but could not stop Onondaga's momentum, coming up short in the 5th.

Rai Fuller had her first double-double night with 11 kills and 16 digs. At the net, Tae Dukes put up 8 kills and 2 solo blocks. Riley Sargent went across the board with 15 assists, 3 service aces, 20 digs, and 2 block assists. Macey Page provided 14 assists and 16 digs on defense,
alongside Cady Hill with 23 digs.

The Red Barons will travel to SUNY Broome this Saturday October 7th, for more pod play
against Erie and Niagara Community Colleges.
