Corning matched up against Genesee CC and Jamestown CC this past Saturday at home. The first set against Genesee went into overtime, with the Red Barons coming out on top. Despite a few late pushes by Corning to work a comeback, Genesee would take the next 3 sets. Overall Macey Page led the Baron's offense with 6 kills, followed by Rai Fuller at 5. On defense Rai led with 15 digs, followed by Suyen Lau and Riley Sargent who added 14 digs each. Riley also contributed 11 assists and a solo block.
The Red Barons finished the day dropping 3 sets to Jamestown. Collectively the team put up 14 kills, 14 assists, and 37 digs.
Corning will travel to face Genesee again this Tuesday, September 12th for their next match.
