Andress Hits 100 Career Wins

Saturday's home POD was an exciting one as two milestones were reached! Red Barons volleyball coach, Emily Andress, earned her 100th career win along with sophomore libero, Megan Gridley breaking the all-time career digs record (697) with 76 digs on the day to make the new record set at 704. With a lot of season left, Gridley is expected to push the statistic to new heights by the end of her sophomore season.

Corning went 1-2 on the day as they defeated Cayuga CC with scores of 25-10, 25-5, 25-20 and falling to Onondaga CC 23-25, 23-25, 25-19, 19-25 and Jefferson CC 27-25, 11-25, 15-25, 19-25.

Teammate Katelyn Artibee finished the day with 28 kills, 10 blocks, and 4 service aces while Blair Wampole contributed 17 kills and 5 blocks. Sierra Bartolis posted 31 assists and 40 digs and Danielle Dille added 38 assists and 25 digs for the Red Barons.

Corning travels to Broome Community College this Saturday (9/15) to play Herkimer, Fulton Montgomery and Mohawk Valley.
