Red Barons Name Kevin Weber Head Women's Soccer Coach

The SUNY CCC Red Barons have named coach Kevin Weber as their next women's soccer coach.

Kevin Weber joins the Corning Community College Athletic Department with a wealth of women's soccer coaching experience and high school/collegiate playing experience. Prior to Corning, Weber coached high school girls soccer at Elmira Notre Dame from 2007-2015 as an assistant coach and then he named a co-head coach from 2016-2019.

During his time as an assistant and co-head coach of Elmira Notre Dame they found plenty of success including a NYS Class C Championship runner-up, five Section IV titles, four Section IV runner-up finishes, 7 IAC championships, and he coached at least two all-state team members each year during his tenure.

Weber currently holds a United States Soccer Federation C License and was inducted into the Elmira Notre Dame High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.

Coach Weber is a graduate of Cortland State and he currently works locally as a teacher for Thomas A. Edison HS while coaching wrestling for TAE during the winter season.

Kevin's father and former Athletic Director and women's soccer coach at Elmira Notre Dame, Steve Weber, has been named his assistant coach.

SUNY CCC Director of Athletics Isaac Bushey released this statement about the recent hiring:

"We are very excited to have Kevin and Steve accept our offer to take over the women's soccer program. They have a wealth of playing and coaching experience with obvious local ties to the community and section IV soccer. However, what was most impressive was their vision for building a culture that will lead to success both on and off the field. We are looking forward to watching and helping them cultivate their program now and in the future."
