The Red Barons women's soccer team traveled to Buffalo, NY to take on Erie Community College in game one of their two game weekend. The Kats came out ready to play as they scored the first three goals of the game before Danielle Dennis scored, assisted by Taylor Sutryk. Erie would score the next three goals before Kerene Johnson scored the last goal of the game, unassisted, leading to a 6-2 final in favor of the home team.

On Sunday, the Red Barons played host to the Mohawk Valley Hawks, the game was a back and forth affair but no one could produce a goal. Corning had their best opportunity of the game when they were awarded a penalty kick, however, Kerene Johnson had her shot saved by the goalkepper. The game ended in a tie in regulation, leading to two sudden death OT periods before heading to a shootout. Mohawk Valley came away victorious in the shootout despite some great saves by goalie Taylor Gray.

The team is back in action on Sunday, September 16th at 1 pm, home vs. Jefferson CC.
