The Red Barons Women's Basketball team faced a early first half deficit against SUNY Broome and was unable to overcome it in 64-38 loss in their home opener.

SUNY Corning fell behind the Hornets early as they were held to 4 points in the opening quarter leading to a 14 point deficit after the first 10 minutes of play. The Red Barons outscored the Hornets over the next 20 minutes of game play, 30-29, as they were helped by a 22 point third quarter effort. 

Heading into the 4th quarter down 13 points, the Red Barons played hard but were unable to chip away at the Broome lead. SUNY CCC falls to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in MSAC play.

-Ava Bruehwiler scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.

-Suyen Lau scored 11 points and had 4 assists

-Andrealis Colon scored 8 points and 8 assists

-Alayna Henry and Amelia Finlayson combined for 11 rebounds
