The Red Barons won a hard fought game vs Broome CC on Wayne Kenner Court Thursday, 11/29/2018 as they provided some late game heroics to seal the victory. Down by 6 with minutes to play, Taylor Herberger hit a three to bring the Red Barons within 3 points. After both teams traded defensive stops, Autumn Edwards found herself open from behind the arc and buried her opportunity tying the game at 49. With 52 seconds to play Herberger inbounded the ball to Kiara Buxton who missed her first shot attempt but got her own miss and was fouled on the shot. She made a free throw to put Corning up 1, their first lead since late in the second quarter. Broome had a 3 rattle out and Blair Wampole was able to secure the rebound which led to a made lay-up from Buxton who finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Taylor Herberger finished with 12 points while adding 5 assists and 5 rebounds, Taylor Sutryk added 11 points as well.
