Lexi Wood joins the coaching staff after one of the most impressive careers a collegiate player could have.  Wearing the Corning Red and Black, Wood won the prestigious NJCAA National Player of the Year award after leading her squad to MSAC Conference Championships, NJCAA Region III Championships and NJCAA National Runners-Up finishes.  Wood held down the hot corner and was an intragual part of the NJCAA's most impressive offensive lineups.  She led the nation in RBI's during the 2022 and 2023 season with a combined 199 runs batted in during that two year stretch while posting a two-year .498 batting average.  The NJCAA First Team All-American and 2023 Rawlings Golden Glove winner will work with the infield and hitters.
