The Red Barons Softball team started NJCAA DIII Region III play and cruised to a 14-0 win over Erie Community College in their home opener after exploding for 13 runs in the first two innings of the game.

Lexi Wood led the offensive charge with 2 hits (both doubles) and 5 RBI's while Gabby Coletta had two hits including a deep HR to left centerfield. Every Red Barons batter collected a hit and a run scored in the game.

Defensively, Jayden Hill pitched 4 inning with 9 strikeouts and only allowing two hits. Marley Lippitt came in to finish the game pitching an inning and ended the game facing only 4 batters giving up zero hits and one walk.

SUNY Corning faces Niagara County Community College on the road this Saturday at 12pm and 2pm.
