Lexi Wood, Jayden Hill and Jill Murray have been named NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) First Team All-Americans as voted on by the membership coaching staff's. This trio helped lead Corning to a 37-3 overall record, a MSAC (Mid-State Athletic Conference) Championship, an NJCAA Region III Title and a Runner-Up finish at the NJCAA National Softball Tournament.
Wood, a thirdbaseman, led the Corning offense hitting .573with 76 RBI's, 8 HR's and 16 doubles. Murray, a secondbaseman, hit .551, with 58 RBI's, 7 HR's and 15 doubles. Hill, a pitcher, posted an impressive 19-1 record on the season with 2 saves. She had a 1.42 ERA and struck out 167 batters in 118 innings of work.
These three become the 51st, 52nd and 53rd Red Barons softball players to earn NFCA All-American distinctions under Head Coach Stacy Johnson's leadership.
