SUNY CCC Receive Five All-MSAC Players; DiNicola, Johnson Earn Top Honors

Michele DiNicola was named the Mid-State Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Year as voted on by the coaches. She hit over .500 with 4 HR's and 8 RBI's in conference (10 games), she also received this honor last year as a freshman.

The SUNY CCC softball team had five players named to the all Mid-State Athletic Conference team for their efforts in the 2019 season. Sophomores Leigha Jones (INF) and Michele DiNicola (OF) were both elected as were freshmen Hailey Burdick (C), Jessica Vidal-DeJesus (INF), and Laura Burrell (P). 

Jones hit .563 with 7 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 HR leading to 15 RBIs and a .938 slugging perentage in the 10 games played in conference.

Burdick had a strong effort in the batters box posting a .400 average with 3 doubles, 2 HRs, and 11 RBIs, as did Jessica Vidal with a .500 average with 5 doubles, 1 triple, 3 HRs, 20 RBIs and an eye-popping 1.071 slugging percentage.

Freshman pitcher Burrell was very strong in the circle in conference as she was credited with 4 wins, posted a 3.86 ERA while striking out 22 batters in 29 innings.

Sophomore Outfielder Michele DiNicola repeats as MSAC Player of the Year with a .528 average including 19 total hits with 4 doubles, 1 triple, 4 HRs, 8 RBIs, and a 1.028 slugging percentage in just 10 MSAC games.

Head Coach Stacy Johnson the athletic programs all-time wins leader added another Coach of the Year plaque for their great season.
