The Red Barons men's soccer team provided a gutsy effort despite losing to Fulton-Montgomery 6-2 on Sunday. Sophomore captain Pat Milliken scored his first goal of the season on a direct kick just inside of midfield which gave SUNY Corning a 1-0 advantage just 5 minutes into the contest. The team faced adversity the next 5 minutes as they had two key injuries that brought them down to 9 players for the remaining 80 minutes of the game. In that time Fulton-Montgomery was able to score 5 goals on the Red Barons before halftime.
The team restrategized and scored a goal with only 9 men on the field, Promise Nwosu, tucked away a rebound inching the team closer and making the score 5-2, however, the Raiders were able to score another goal before the game ended making the final score 6-2 Fulton-Montgomery.
