Red Barons Drop Two

The SUNY Corning CC Men's Soccer team faced back to back games this weekend, they were on the road at Erie CC on Saturday and hosted Mohawk Valley CC on Sunday.

In Buffalo, NY they squared off with Erie CC, the Red Barons put up a good fight despite losing 3-0. Peter Bruce-Allington, Evan Kuhl, Paul Milliken, and Caleb Orvek played very well in front of goalie Tyler Morehouse who made a few impressive saves on the day. The second half was controlled by the Red Barons who collectively played well through the midfield. Corning kept a lot of pressure on the Kats but were unable to convert their numerous chances on net.

The Red Barons were back home on Sunday for their second game in two days, where they faced Mohawk Valley. The Hawks took control of the game early on by scoring the first 2 goals of the game before Connor VanGorden put away a nice headed pass from Connor Nazarczyk, pulling the team to within one goal. After the Red Barons scored, MVCC put their foot on the gas by scoring the next five goals of the game while cruising to a 7-1 victory. Tyler Morehouse provided a few highlight saves while Caleb Orvek, Paul Milliken, and Gage Grottenthaler stopped numerous Hawk chances before they reached the net.
