Men's Basketball Win Two MSAC Contests At Home

The Red Barons Men's Basketball team won two games in a row at home extending their win streak to four games.

Corning faced Tompkins Cortland in a back and forth offensive game eventually prevailing, 93-88. The Red Barons led at halftime by 7, but the Panthers took a lead in the 2nd half connecting from beyond the arc hitting 8 total 3's. The Red Barons led by Samir Lockhart started and finished their comeback effort. Xavier Hill poured in a game-high 26 points, Lockhart finished with 21 points while shooting 100% from the field. Dwight Reed and Cameron Rhode each produced double digit scoring for the Red Barons with 16 and 13 points respectfully.

 

SUNY CCC then hosted Finger Lakes Community College and jumped out to a 30 point halftime lead and eventually won the contest 103-57. Xavier Hill led all scorers with 22 points while grabbing 9 rebounds. Marcus Reed scored 16 points, corralled 6 rebounds, and hit two shots from three. Every single player on the Red Barons either scored a point or recorded an assist for the team as they won their fourth consecutive game in a row.
