SUNY CCC Red Barons Baseball 2021  Season Preview

The SUNY CCC Red Barons are excited to start the 2021 Season after only competing in a handful of games in the Sping of 2020 due to COVID-19.  Although their schedule is different than in years past, the Red Barons are grateful and excited to play a full slate of games during the 2021 season.   

The Red Barons are very proud of and boast a greatly diversified roster, including players from Florida, Texas and Canada in addition to a host of regional New York State players.  

The SUNY Corning team includes an equal balance of first-year and returning players who are ready to step between the lines and compete.  Seasoned veterans Shane Conlon, Garrett Socola, Sam Jewiss, and Sammy Polanco will lead the squad while promising young players are ready to make their mark on the field.

The SUNY CCC roster includes student-athletes: Owen DeMember, Jake Freeland, Ryess Youmans, Zack Wood, Steven Spina, Jordan Sutryk, Devin Dennard, Nate Chorney, Matt Clute, Tommy Elliott, Tanner KizisDraven Rodriguez, Kevin Serrano, Gaby Fonseca, and Mi'zell Armstrong all provide great baseball knowledge, ability, and depth to the Red Barons program.

The Red Barons Skipper Chris Karam had this to say about his team and the upcoming season "I am happy that the players have a season to look forward to after almost a full year of uncertainty.  The Red Barons roster includes a diverse mix of regional players and top recruits from Florida and Texas.  I fully expect this year's Red Barons Baseball team to be very competitive this season."

The team has started pre-season practices on February 8th and opens the season on the road in Auburn, NY on March 20th.
