Caraballo, McKibben, Torres Named All-MSAC

Robert Caraballo, Christopher McKibben, and Victor Torres were selected to the All Mid-State Athletic Conference team for their efforts this season as all three players were essential to their teams success.

Robert Caraballo, a catcher for the past two season for Corning CC, was one of two catchers selected to the all-conference team this year. Rob was very reliable defensively and durable as he caught 30 games out of 39 played this past season.  The sophomore hit a very impressive .348 on the year, often leading off innings with a hit to immediately put pressure on the other team or coming up with clutch RBI's for his team.

Christopher McKibben, a freshman utility player for the Red Barons, led the team in batting average this season hitting .426 on the year with 28 RBI's. Out of his 40 hits total hits on the year, 14 went for extra bases which helped him break the school record for slugging percentage in a season at .617% including an outstanding .696% in conference play. Chris was a solid player in the field and manned multiple positions on the year, including all three outfield positions, 3rd base, and he pitched for the Red Barons.

Victor Torres, had an outstanding freshman campaign at Shortstop which led to his all-conference selection this season. Victor hit .400 on the year with 18 RBI's, and 14 stolen bases including 15 extra base hits, two of which were HR's. His play defensively was unmatched by anyone in the Region as he made difficult plays look easy and showed off great footwork and a strong arm that coaches around the conference and region took notice of.  In 34 games played this season, he posted a fielding percentage of .950 with only 4 errors in conference play, and took part in 110 total outs for the Red Barons.
