Hall of Fame

Corning Community College promotes intellectual and personal growth to its more than 5,000 students, both inside and outside the classroom. The College believes that intercollegiate athletics is important and among the most valuable experiences an individual student can have.  In addition, intercollegiate sports are important because they encourage personal development and can be an integral part of a student's overall educational experience.

The Red Barons Hall of Fame was created in 2011 to recognize the role of intercollegiate Athletics at Corning Community College, remember traditions, and honor those who have made significant achievements or made a positive impact upon CCC athletics.

Located in the front foyer area of the Gymnasium, the Red Barons Hall of Fame is a component of the College’s Athletics and Physical Fitness Complex. In conjunction with the Hall of Fame, a Wall of Champions will consist of display cases with memorabilia, awards, trophies, and other artifacts of student athletes, coaches, and most successful teams documenting achievements since the inception of the College’s intercollegiate Athletics program.

Members of the Hall of Fame include student athletes, coaches, and contributors. Former student athletes named to the Hall of Fame are those who maintained sound academic performance and demonstrated outstanding athletic accomplishments as a student at CCC. Examples of outstanding accomplishments include being awarded All-Conference, All-Region, or All-American status.

Coaches play a critical role in CCC Athletics. Those selected for induction into the Hall of Fame have made an outstanding contribution to both the College’s Athletics program and the student athletes who competed under their leadership. Coaches named to the Hall of Fame also have achieved major accomplishments such as coach of the year and championship titles.

CCC also recognizes College administrators and contributors who have made outstanding and exceptional contributions that support the growth, popularity, and/or community and campus acceptance of the intercollegiate Athletics program.
